Virgil Supports the Troops! (Roanoke Times Ad)

A full-page ad in yesterday's Roanoke Times accuses Virgil of voting against a bill to support our troops. As you probably already know . . . this is extremely misleading! Virgil fully and totally supports our troops. It was another typical Democrat shenanigan . . . adding tax increase and immigration ammendments so that no Republican would vote for it. President Bush had said he would veto it and Secretary Gates was against it, as well. The Democrats like to do things like that . . . they would much rather have the issue than the solution. By the way, the bill that passed was a better bill - more of what Secretary Gates wanted.
