For anyone who thinks it isn't important to change the balance of power in Washington in Nobember, please note what the Obama administration has been up to recently:
- NASA has been told by the administration that it's top priority is Muslim outreach. I guess now that we're hitchhiking rides with the Russians to the moon, there isn't much else for NASA to do? (Is it just me, or does no-one else see a connection between NASA and Muslims? Maybe some math from way, way back when? Can we translate that into something that will make them not hate us today? Do we even really know WHY they hate us today?)
- Ronald Berwick has been appointed by Obama to head up Medicare and Medicaid. He is a recess appointment and had not even been scheduled for a hearing in the (Democratic-controlled) Senate, let alone a vote. Obama knew Berwick would be controversial - he's on record as supporting rationing of health care and believes redistribution of wealth is a necessary part of any universal health care plan - so I guess Obama's once again taking the fast track to get what he wants. But what about what WE think? Is he not there to be OUR president?
Time after time . . . bailouts, stimulus, attempted cap and trade, Obamacare, and more . . . both President Obama and Congress have demonstrated they don't give a crap about what we think They know what's best for us . . . and maybe if they continue to explain it to us, we'll eventually "get it."
Why should we tolerate this any longer?
