Goode for President?

It goes without saying that Virgil is NOT going to be our next president;  however, it NEEDS to be said that he can have an impact on the outcome in Virginia, and consequently an impact on the national results.  To that end, I wrote to Virgil today and asked that he PLEASE not have his name on our ballot.

If you feel strongly about this, I urge you to write to Virgil and express your concerns and send to:

Mr. Virgil H. Goode, Jr.
90 East Church Road
Rocky Mount, VA  24151

If you don't want to take the time to collect your thoughts and compose your own message, please feel free to use the message below, either as-is or modify it in any way you like to make it your own.  Also, I heard from one person who is writing a letter to the editors of our local papers.  That is another good option.  I plan to do that, too.

Dear Virgil:

I’m writing to ask you to not have your name on the Virginia ballot as a candidate for President.  Virginians have a lot of respect for you, as do I, so it’s likely you would get enough votes to make a difference in the outcome.  Every vote you get will be one less for Romney and we cannot afford that.

We are nearing the point of no return with debt, deficits and entitlements after only 3 ½ years of Obama’s policies and if he is re-elected, we will hit that point at break-neck speed.

For the good of our Commonwealth and our Country please discontinue your efforts to get on the ballot.
