Did you know...?

...the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau that was established by the Dodd-Frank Act is protected from Congressional oversight and control?  The director, a recess appointee by Obama (when there was no actual recess) essentially sets his own budget and draws funds from the Federal Reserve rather than via Congressional appropriation.  A House subcommittee led by Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) is trying to get information from the director on how the money is being used, with no success thus far.  The Bureau plans to spend about $500 million this year.  The director sets the salaries of his employees; 60% make over $100,000/year.

One more example of why we must take control of the Senate AND the White House in November!  We must stop this "Ex-Constitutional" activity!

Thanks to Jim Miller for this information.
