If you heard the president's speech last night, you know not much has changed from HR 3200. Republican Leader John Boehner says it was "lipstick on a pig." He also points out that at least two amentments to specifically exclude illegal immigrants from coverage were voted down in committee, and according to Virgil (September SMLRWC meeting) without an amendment, illegals would be included. So I'm sure Congressman Wilson's outburst during the speech - You lie! - was from the heart. (In a non-scientific internet poll I saw today, a large majority says that Congressman Wilson's comment was inappropriate and also says the president is not telling the truth. Isn't that, uh, lying? My sentiment, exactly!)
Check to the righ for the email addresses of those who will be voting on this. I contacted them last night and plan to do so frequently in the future.
